Investors Reduce Presence in Housing Market: HousingPulse Survey Investor home purchases fell for a third month in July, the Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance HousingPulse Tracking Survey revealed. MBA NewsLink reported survey results Aug. 23. The survey showed that investors accounted for 19.6 percent of home purchase transactions in July, down from 23 percent investor market share as recently as April, and the lowest level in more than a year, MBA NewsLink reported. The survey also showed that the gap between first-time home buyers and distressed-property supply was 9.3 percentage points in July, unchanged from June.
